President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Dhaalu Atoll Hulhudheli Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) to discuss the island community's developmental needs.

Speaking at the meeting, Council Members emphasised the necessity for reclamation citing the demand for land, installing an Ice Plant, and developing a waste management centre. Council members highlighted the need for a new building to house the Council Secretariat, establishing a fish factory at Maadheli Island and road development for Hulhudheli Island. They further requested ATM services in the island, the installation of a fish aggregating device near the island, and other developmental needs of the community.

In response, the President assured that the Administration would assess the issues raised by the members. The Ministers and senior Government officials in attendance offered the latest updates on the Government's efforts to resolve the issues raised by the Council.
