President Dr Mohamed Muizzu held discussions with the B. Thulhaadhoo Council and Women’s Development Committee to address key development concerns on the island. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the B. Thulhaadhoo Council.
The Council emphasised the necessity of establishing the RTL ferry system, improving the Waste Management Center, introducing borrower-friendly loans for housing needs, and requesting the jurisdiction of En’boodhoo under the purview of Thulhaadhoo for economic purposes.
Additionally, the Council highlighted the importance of preserving and restoring Thulhaadhoo's lacquer work, while also advocating for a ban on the import of lacquer work replicas from elsewhere. Matters of great significance for the island's development were also emphasized at the meeting.
The President provided the most recent updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Government representatives present at the meeting.
