President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the N. Maalhendhoo Council members today.
During the meeting, the Council Members emphasised the most critical needs of the community.
These include safeguarding the shoreline against beach erosion, establishing the RTL ferry service to the Atoll, increasing the operational hours of the health center to sixteen hours daily, and providing laboratory services within the facility. Additionally, they requested the development of roads, the establishment of a youth centre, and the introduction of an ATM service on the island.
At the meeting, WDC members underlined challenges faced due to budget constraints.
Speaking at the meeting, President Dr Muizzu assured the members of the Council that he would address and make an effort to resolve all the issues raised. The attending Ministers provided updates on the Government's ongoing efforts to address these concerns.
