President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the HDh. Nellaidhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at Nellaidhoo School.
At the meeting, the Council brought up several concerns with the President. These included the need for the construction of roads, the implementation of water sanitation and a sewerage system, the building of a new mosque, and finding solutions to housing and erosion issues. The Council additionally requested that the authorities relocate all the offices to the same area.
During the meeting, members of the Nellaidhoo WDC emphasised the need for drafting new guidelines for the committee to operate more efficiently.
In response, the President reiterated his commitment to fulfil all pledges. He assured them that the Administration would thoroughly examine the issues raised by the Council and explore feasible solutions. The attending Ministers also provided updates on the Government's initiatives related to the Council's concerns.
