President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the G.A. Gemanafushi Island Council members and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the G.A. Gemanafushi Island Council.
During the meeting, the Council emphasised the need for a suitable harbour for the island, considering the significant number of fishing vessels it accommodates. They further conveyed the need for expediting road development, land reclamation, shore protection, developing the football ground, relocating the island's powerhouse away from the residential neighbourhood and other needs of the residential population. The WDC also shared its needs and concerns with the President.
At the meeting, the President assured the addressing of the concerns brought to his attention via the established government procedures. He also conveyed the latest information on the development projects intended for the progress of the community through his Ministers.
