President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has decided to establish rehabilitation centres in K. Kaashidhoo, N. Velidhoo, and L. Atoll and authorise community-based rehabilitation services in accordance with the Drugs Act (17/2011). This decision was reached following a thorough review of a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Health during a Cabinet meeting on Sunday.
The President resolved to launch a community-based drug rehabilitation programme in compliance with Maldivian laws and Islamic principles.
