President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih awarded the Order of the Dignified Rule of the Dhiyamigili Dynasty (ODRDD) to Dr Mustafa Lutfi, Special Advisor on Social Policy at the President’s Office. The award was presented at an official ceremony held on Wednesday at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE) in commemoration of the Maldives’ 58th anniversary of independence.

President Solih has chosen to honour Dr Lutfi with the Order of the Dignified Rule of the Dhiyamigili Dynasty (ODRDD) in recognition of his national contributions to the government over a period of more than 34 years. Dr Lutfi’s invaluable contributions to the education sector of the Maldives were also acknowledged, including shaping the education system that the Maldives sees today and his numerous efforts to train teachers.

During the ceremony, President Solih acknowledged Dr Lutfi’s significant contributions to the development of the Maldives, particularly his commendable and noteworthy work in improving the educational situation in the islands. The President also extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to Dr Lutfi on behalf of the state and the Maldivian people.
