President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed on a visit to Lhaviyani Atoll this morning, where he will visit two of its islands.
The President is scheduled to first visit Maafilaafushi where he will inaugurate the Maldives National Defense Force's (MNDF) 66th Basic Training Course. He will also tour the MNDF's Composite Training Centre and other facilities during his trip.
President Solih is also scheduled to visit Felivaru Island later today, where he will tour the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company's (MIFCO) fish canning factory and the site allocated for the construction of its new cold storage facility. The President is also expected to meet local fishermen during his trip to the island.
