President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has participated in the closing and awarding ceremony of the 33rd National Quran Competition.
The ceremony held at Islamic Centre tonight was also attended by Vice-President Faisal Naseem, Speaker of the Parliament, Mohamed Nasheed, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zahir and other senior government officials.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih gave away awards to first, second and third place winners of the national competition and presented Hafiz crowns.
Vice-President Faisal Naseem gave away awards to the first prize winners from school and general recitation categories.
