Vice President Faisal Naseem has visited Addu City and observed the football match played between Maldives and Bhutan in the Under 15 UEFA Assist International Tournament. The match was held in Addu Football Stadium this evening.
The U15 EUFA Assist International tournament is carried out in line with the government's vision to broaden the scope of sports development in the country. The tournament is organised by the Maldives Football Association in collaboration with UEFA.
The Vice President cheered the Maldivian football team in the match. Bhutan won with a score of 2-1.
This is the first collaboration between the Maldives and a European organization to hold an international football tournament in the country, and several other countries, including Latvia, Bhutan and Saudi Arabia also participated in the tournament.
