His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have arrived at Sir Seewoosagar Ramgoolam International Airport on an official visit to the Republic of Mauritius. The President and First Lady are traveling to the country on the invitation of the Mauritian Government.
They were received by His Excellency, Jean Christophe Stephan Toussaint, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Mauritius.
As part of this visit and in order to show support to our fine athletes who will be competing, the President and First Lady will attend the opening ceremony of the 10th edition of the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) 2019, being held today in the beautiful city of Port Louis. The President and First Lady will also witness several of the sporting events due to be held there in the next few days. The Maldives will participate in 14 sporting events at this year's games.
