President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have departed the Maldives from Velana International Airport for an Official Visit to the Republic of Mauritius. The President is travelling in acceptance of an invitation from the Mauritian Government.
Whilst in Mauritius, the President and First Lady will attend the opening ceremony of the Indian Ocean Island Games being held in this year in the city of Port Louis; further, he will also attend several of the gaming events due to be held in the coming days, to encourage and show support to the many Maldivian athletes who will be competing in the IOIG.
