The Resident Representative of the World Health Organization to Maldives, Dr. Arvind Mathur stated that Maldives has not reported a case of measles since 2010. He stated this while speaking at the press conference held at the President’s Office this morning, after the launch of the Measles and Rubella Vaccination Campaign.

Speaking at the press conference Dr. Arvind Mathur congratulated His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom for his visionary leadership and support in launching the nationwide Measles and Rubella campaign and commended the milestones achieved by Maldives in the health sector.

Today’s Press conference was led by the Minister of Health, Hon. Abdulla Ibrahim Nazim along with The Resident Representative of the World Health Organization to Maldives, Dr. Arvind Mathur and other health officials.
