Vice President Abdulla Jihad has called on India's Vice President M. Hamid Ansari at the the Vice President's residence in New Delhi this evening.
During the call, discussions focused on regional security and trade cooperation; especially on the potential for banking and finance, between the two countries.
The Ambassador of the Maldives in India His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed, Deputy Under Secretary at the President's Office Mr. Ilham Idris and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Maldives in India Ms. Shazra Abdul Sattar accompanied the Vice President during his call.
