President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has inaugurated Sosun Ge Park, Museum Park and Carnival Park developed under the Island Aviation’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program; in collaboration with Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure. The ceremony took place at the carnival area this evening. Following the official opening, the President took a tour of the Carnival Park.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu highlighted the major milestones the current administration has achieved within its half-term, with regard to social well-being through urban development in all parts of the country, especially in Malé.
Apart from the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, The Managing Director of Island Aviation Mr. Abdul Haaris also addressed the function.
During the ceremony, the President was presented with three photo albums which included picture timelines of the projects in progress.
Members of the Cabinet, Members of the Parliament, Government officials and residents of Malé were in attendance at the inauguration ceremony.
