The Government of the Republic of Maldives has decided today to leave the Commonwealth. The decision was announced, following today’s cabinet consultations, during a press conference at the President’s Office.
At the press conference the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamed Asim and Attorney General Uz Mohamed Anil briefed the media on the cabinet decision.
Following the decision, and the press conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement.
