President Mohamed Nasheed has established the South Central Health Services Corporation and the North Central Health Services Corporations as government companies with hundred percent government shares.
The key objectives of the two companies would be to ensure economic and social development and availability of adequate healthcare for the people of the Maldives. Objectives of the corporations also include establishing and maintaining quality healthcare facilities in north-central and south-central regions in a sustainable manner.
