President Mohamed Nasheed has appointed Mr Hassan Afeef as Minister of Home Affairs and Ms Shifa Mohamed as Minister of Education.

Presentation of letters of appointment to the two new Ministers was held this evening at the President’s Office.

The new appointments were made following the resignation of the former Home Minister Mohamed Shihab and the former Education Minister Dr Musthafa Luthfee.

Mr Hassan Afeef previously held the post of Advisor on Political Affairs, while Shifa Mohamed was previously the Deputy Minister of Education.
