President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim have departed to Malaysia this Sunday evening where the main purpose will be to participate in the “Permata International Conference: Children Beyond Tomorrow” being held between 31st May and 2nd June 2016.
The President is also scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, who is participating in the Conference on the invitation of the Malaysian Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, is scheduled to give a lecture on “Education for the Development of the Country”.
The Conference aims to create greater awareness and understanding on the development of young people and working towards their optimal advancement.
