President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has concluded his visit to India to accept the “Dr Kalam Puraskar for Excellence in Governance” Award.
President Yameen was conferred the award at a special ceremony held this morning at the Dale View Institute in Thiruvananthapuram.
Upon arrival at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, the President was welcomed by Minister of Defence and National Security; Hon. Adam Shareef Umar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Hon. Dunya Maumoon, Members of the Cabinet, some Members of the Parliament and Government officials of different levels in addition to Senior officials of State Companies.
The President was given a warm welcome in Male’ by Vice President of PPM; Mr. Abdul Raheem Abdulla, Minister of Tourism; Hon. Moosa Zameer, Government officials, school children and a large gathering of people.
