President H.E. Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim has arrived in Malaysia this evening, on a two day official visit, on the invitation of Prime Minister H.E. Dato' Sri Haji Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak.
On arrival at Kuala Lampur International Airport, the President and First Lady was received by Malaysia’s Minister of Education, YB Dato' Seri Mahdzir Bin Khalid, Senior officials of the Malaysian Government, Maldivian High Commissioner to Malaysia H.E. Mr. Mohamed Fahmy Hassan and other officials of the High Commission.
Official welcoming ceremony for the President will be held in the Prime Minister’s Office, tomorrow morning. After the official welcoming ceremony, President Yameen will meet with Prime Minister Najib Razak and hold official talks between the Maldives and Malaysia.
The Malaysian Prime Minister will host a luncheon in the honor of the President at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence.
During the visit, President Yameen will meet the Maldivian Community in Malaysia.
