The Ambassador of Bhutan H.E. Ms. Pema Choden paid her farewell call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom during a meeting held at the Presidents’ Office on Sunday afternoon.
At the meeting, the President expressed his gratitude to the Bhutanese Ambassador for the tremendous work done in order to maintain and strengthen the bilateral relationship between both countries during her time in office.
During the meeting, the President and the Ambassador highlighted areas to be further addressed in order to enhance the good working relationship between both countries. The Bhutanese Ambassador, Ms. Pema Choden said that it was a great pleasure to serve the Maldives as the Bhutanese Ambassador, and ensured continued support and assistance from Bhutan to Maldives.
The President was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Dunya Maumoon, and Under Secretary at the President’s Office Mr. Mohamed Naseer.
