President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has attended the final match of “Minivan 50 Championship” football tournament. The President travelled to Addu City to attend the closing ceremony of the tournament. Club Feydhoo won the championship 1 goal to Nil against the team from Fares Maathodaa.
At the closing ceremony held after the final match, President Yameen awarded Feydhoo the Champion’s trophy, and gold medal. The Runner-up team of the tournament was awarded with silver medals by the Managing Director of State Trading Organization, Mr. Ahmed Shaheer. Additionally, the institutions that contributed and helped in this tournament were acknowledged with commemorative prizes. The commemorative prizes were presented to Maldivian, State Trading Organization, Maldives Defence Force and Maldives Police Service.
