President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this morning launched the Ran Dhihafaheh banknote series for circulation. The launching ceremony was held this morning at the President’s Office.
The Maldives’ new polymer banknote series contains MVR 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1000. The Ran Dhihafaheh note series also incorporates tactile dots to assist visually impaired individuals.
At today’s ceremony, the Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority Dr. Azeema Adam presented a commemorative set of the Ran Dhihafaheh note series to President Yameen.
