Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom has paid a courtesy call on President Yameen

Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom, Rt. Honourable Hugo Swire, MP has paid a coutsey call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.The meeting took place this morning at the President’s Office.

At the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening existing bilateral ties between the Maldives and the UK. Discussions at the meeting were also focused on exploring further areas of cooperation between the two countries.

The President was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Dunya Maumoon, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, and Undersecretary (Foreign Relations) at the President’s Office, Mr. Mohamed Naseer.
