President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has on Thursday morning signed the Book of Condolence, honoring the State Dignitary, late Ali Umar Manik who passed away on Saturday evening, 19th December 2015, in Singapore.

In his condolence message, the President described late Ali Umar Manik as an irreplaceable national asset, stating that his passing was a great loss to the nation.

Highlighting his invaluable services, the President noted the important contributions made by late Ali Umar Manik, particularly his efforts to elevate personal and societal wellbeing. The President underlined the commendable role late Ali Umar Manik played in the implementation of several developmental efforts during President Ibrahim Nasir’s and President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s terms in office.

The President further wrote that the Government and people of Maldives would forever cherish and honor late Ali Umar Manik’s numerous national services.
