The new non-resident Ambassador of Oman H.E. Sheikh Hamed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Rawahi has presented his credentials to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, on Tuesday morning.
At a ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, President Yameen congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his term. The President noted 35 years of brotherly ties between Maldives and Oman and further discussed ways to foster and maintain the good working relationship between both countries.
Speaking at the meeting, President Yameen and Ambassador Sheikh Hamed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Rawahi reaffirmed their support to each other in the international arena.
The President was accompanied at the meeting by Foreign Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, and Undersecretary at the President’s Office, Mr. Mohamed Naseer.
