Dr. Abdul Kalam’s legacy as a leader of firm conviction and profound knowledge will inspire generations of South Asians for many years to come – President Yameen

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has on Thursday signed the Book of Condolence honoring the former Indian President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

“The former President’s legacy as a leader of firm conviction and profound knowledge will inspire generations of South Asians for many years to come. My people join me in extending our profound sympathy to the Government and neighbourly people of India, at this time of national mourning,” President Yameen wrote in the condolence book.

Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor also signed the Book of Condolence honoring the former President of India.

The condolence book is placed at the Indian High Commission.
