The non-resident Ambassador of France to the Maldives, Jean-Marin Schuh has presented his credentials to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, on Thursday morning.
At the ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, President Yameen congratulated Ambassador Schuh on the commencement of his term. Meeting the new Ambassador afterwards, the President and the Ambassador discussed ways to further strengthen ties between the Maldives and France.
Speaking at the meeting, President Yameen briefed Ambassador Schuh on the foreign investment opportunities in the Maldives, especially in the tourism sector.
The French Ambassador assured President Yameen of France’s continued support and assistance to the Maldives.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dunya Maumoon, and Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Mohamed Hussain Shareef.
