Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Maldives, H.E. Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Al Jammaz, has paid his farewell call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office on Sunday morning, President Yameen expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Al Jammaz for his invaluable efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia during his tenure, and to the Saudi Government for its continuous support extended to the Maldives over the years. The President also conveyed his hopes to further strengthening the close mutual relations the two countries held.
Ambassador Al Jammaz stated that it has been an honour serving as the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Maldives, and reassured the President of the Saudi Arabian Government’s commitment to continue supporting and assisting the Maldives. Highlighting President Yameen’s state visit to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Al Jammaz underscored the important agreements that were signed during the visit, and noted that they were already being implemented.
The meeting was attended by Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Mohamed Hussain Shareef, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dunya Maumoon, and Undersecretary at the President’s Office, Dr. Hussain Faiz.
