President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim have attended the launching ceremony of child abuse prevention campaign “Ahan- Listen to Us”. The campaign launched to commemorate the International Children’s Day, is an initiative of the Ministry of Law and Gender and UNICEF.
At the launching ceremony held at Hotel Jen this morning, First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim officially launched the campaign by unveiling the "Ahan" campaign website.
At today’s event, Madam Fathimath Ibrahim was also presented with a commemorative plaque of appreciation, “Honorary Advocate for Child Rights’, for her contribution to the advancement of the children’s rights in the Maldives. The plaque was presented to the First lady by UNICEF Programme Specialist, Mr. Mohamed Naeem.
