President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim have on Wednesday morning departed on a State Visit to Saudi Arabia, on the invitation of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi King will receive President Yameen and the First Lady on arrival at the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
As part of his visit, President Yameen will meet King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, following a State Luncheon hosted by the King, in honour of the President.
During President Yameen’s visit, the President will also be paid courtesy calls by Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister, Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister, Education Minister, Finance Minister, and Islamic Minister.
President Yameen is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Hon. Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Leader of the Maldives Development Alliance, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Shainee, and Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
