Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed and his wife Madam Ilham Hussain on Wednesday attended the screening of ‘The End of the Line’, a feature documentary film revealing the impact of overfishing on the oceans.
The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in the World Cinema Documentary Competition.
Speaking before the screening, Vice President spoke on the fall in fish catch in the Maldives over the years and the need to understand the reasons for this decrease.
Some Cabinet Ministers and senior government officials also attended last evening’s event.
