President Mohamed Nasheed yesterday met with the President of India, Pratibha Patil. HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the President of Nauru Mr Marcus Stephen, and the Governor General of New Zealand, Mr Anand Satyanand were also present at the meeting which was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
At the meeting, the President congratulated the Indian government and the people for the excellent opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.
The two presidents also discussed ways of further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
