President Yameen attends the concluding session of the 18th SAARC Summit

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has attended the concluding session of the 18th SAARC Summt, on Thursday.

At the concluding session, the foreign ministers of the eight SAARC countries signed the SAARC Framework Agreement for Energy Cooperation (Electricity),  in the presence of the Heads of State and Governments of the SAARC countries. The Agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Maldives by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Dunya Maumoon.

The Kathmandu Declaration was also adopted at the closing session.

This year’s SAARC summit was held from 26-27 November in Kathmandu, Nepal.
