Honorary Consul of Maldives in France calls on the President

Honorary Consul of the Republic of Maldives in France, Mr. David Salkin has paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

At the meeting held this morning, the President noted the importance of maintaining good relations with European countries, and discussed with the Honorary Consul ways to strengthen relations with the countries of Europe. In this regard, the President highlighted the productive visit of the German doctors’ team to the Maldives, and said that it was time for another such programme.

At the meeting Mr. Salkin said that he would put in every effort to strengthen the relations between the Maldives and the European countries.

The President was joined at the call by Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Mohamed Hussain Shareef, and Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ms. Farzana Zahir.
