Former President Dr. Mohamed Waheed has today called on President Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The meeting was held at the President’s Office.
Speaking at the meeting, President Yameen thanked President Waheed for his invaluable services to the country during his tenure as the president. He also thanked President Waheed for prioritizing national interest over everything else and for his efforts to restore peace and stability in the country. President Yameen further assured that the Government would bestow its highest honour and respect to President Waheed.
President Waheed congratulated President Yameen for his election victory. He also said he would give his full support and cooperation to the Government.
