Prosecutor General Uz. Ahmed Muizzu has today submitted his letter of resignation to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
As per Article 226 of the Constitution, the Prosecutor General may resign from office by writing under his hand, addressed to the President, and the office shall become vacant when the resignation is received by the President.
