Ambassador of the United States to the Maldives Michele J. Sison has paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, Ambassador Sison congratulated President Yameen on his election as the President of Maldives.
President Yamin said that his utmost responsibility as the President of the Maldives would be to overcome the political instability, and to create a safe environment for the Maldivian people.
The President and the Ambassador highlighted bilateral cooperation between the two countries and discussed ways of further strengthening these relations.
