Ambassador of the United States to the Maldives Michele J. Sison has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, discussions were focused on the issues regarding this year’s presidential elections. In this regard, President Waheed and Ambassador Sison underscored the importance for all political leaders to prioritise national harmony during the electoral process.
The President assured the Ambassador that the government would put in every effort to maintain peace and stability in the country.
