President Dr Mohamed Waheed has appealed to all citizens to cast their ballot in the upcoming presidential election, noting the importance of this election. The President made this appeal while speaking to the people of Landhoo Island, as the last stop of his tour of some islands in South Miladhummadulu Atoll.
In his speech, the President said that one’s decision must not be influenced by someone else, and asked everyone to vote their own preferred candidate. Noting that the upcoming election was just three weeks away, the President pointed out that the winner in the election would shape the future of all Maldivian citizens for the next 5 years.
Upon the conclusion of his tour of some islands in South Miladhummadulu Atoll, the President has arrived back in Male’ this evening.
