Inspector General of Sri Lankan Police Mr. N. K. Illangakoon has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, the President and Mr Illangakoon discussed ways of further strengthening the relations between the two countries, especially in the area of Police service.
Highlighting the political challenges faced by the Police, President commended the professionalism maintained by the Maldives Police in executing their duties.
President Waheed expressed his gratitude for the support and cooperation received, from the government of Sri Lanka towards strengthening the Maldives Police Service
Mr Illangakoon reassured President Waheed of Sri Lanka’s continued support and cooperation to the Maldives in the area.
