President Establishes Committee for the Protection of People with Special Needs

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has established “Committee for the Protection of People with Special Needs”. The Committee was established to reform and strengthen the government frameworks for promoting gender equality and for the protection and advancement of the rights of women, children, people with disabilities and senior citizens.

Vice President Mohamed Waheed Deen was appointed as the Chairperson of the Committee.
