President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today returned People’s Majlis Privileges and Powers Bill, to the People’s Majlis for reconsideration.
The Bill was passed by the People’s Majlis on December 27, 2012.
In a letter sent to the Speaker of the People’s Majlis returning the Bill, the President detailed the main issues noted by the Attorney General regarding the Bill.
The President’s letter notes that the bill mostly contains benefits and concessions to the People’s Majlis.
