President Dr Mohamed Waheed this evening met with the local business community in Shanghai, as part of his current visit to China.
The meeting, which was attended by Chairmen and CEOs of 13 leading companies, was held at the Shanghai State Guesthouse.
Speaking about the investment opportunities in the various sectors, the President noted the importance of developing properties in the Maldives targeting Chinese tourists. He also said that investors were always welcome in the Maldives.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Mr Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdul Samad Abdulla.
