President Dr Mohamed Waheed has sent a message of sympathy to President Bronisław Komorowski of Poland following the train crash in Szczekociny.
President Waheed’s message to President Komorowski reads as follows:

I was deeply distressed to learn of the train crash on the Warsaw-Krakow mainline at the town of Szczekociny which killed several and injured hundreds more.
At this difficult moment, the Government and citizens of Maldives send our profound sympathy to you, the Government and people of Poland. Please convey our sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
