President Mohamed Nasheed has yesterday evening, met with Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai of Nepal, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh of India, and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani of Pakistan.
At separate meetings held in Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, discussions were held on the bilateral relations between the Maldives and the respective countries. The Heads of States also exchanged ideas on goals set for the SAARC Summit, and on the urgent matter of reforming the SAARC Secretariat.
President Nasheed also met with the Chinese delegation and the United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert Blake Jr., observers of this year’s SAARC Summit. At separate meetings held yesterday evening, President Nasheed briefed the officials on the developmental projects in Addu City.
