Prime Minister Jigme Thinley of Bhutan has arrived in Addu City in the early hours of this morning, to attend the Seventeenth SAARC Summit.
On arrival at Gan Airport, Prime Minister Thinley was received by President Mohamed Nasheed and First Lady Laila Ali.
During the welcoming ceremony held at the airport, the Prime Minister was honoured by a 7-gun salute, followed by the national anthems of Bhutan and the Maldives. Prime Minister Thinley then inspected a Guard of Honour.
