President Mohamed Nasheed has departed on a visit to some islands of Raa Atoll this afternoon.
The President will visit Vaadhoo as the first leg of the tour. He is also scheduled to visit Angolhitheemu and Hulhudhuffaaru while on the tour.
During the visits to the island, he will meet the island councils to discuss the delivery of government services and programmes in the islands through the councils.
He will also seek councils’ views on development programmes planned for the islands.
