The Cabinet, at its meeting today, has officially launched the digital portal of the Cabinet – Vazeerunge Majlis Digital – that consolidates all systems of the Cabinet in a single digital portal.

Digitizing the Cabinet systems accelerates the Cabinet processes and reduce bureaucratic delays. The new digital system also reduces paper usage by over 90 percent making Cabinet meetings more environmentally friendly. The new system cuts administrative costs on Cabinet meetings by 50 percent.

The Cabinet began using Vazeerunge Majlis Digital on 30 November last year. Portal enables ministers to receive Cabinet papers digitally, access Cabinet decisions, be informed of the functions allocated by the President to ministers following Cabinet decisions and review the progress of Cabinet decisions at their offices.
